When we decided to have two of our guest bathrooms renovated and did not have a "tile guy" , Jan Sommer came highly recommended by a friend.  He did a beautiful job installing marble on the floors and subway tile in the tub surrounds.  He has since installed tile in our hallway connecting the garage to the kitchen and installed new tile on our fireplace surround.  I regret having the GC insisting on his own tile installer when we decided to renovate our  Mastbath.  I relied on Jan to find and fix a persistent leak in our Masterbath shower after numerous  failed attempts by the GC to fix the problem.

When we moved into our recently purchase duplex, the tile in the shower floor was popping up and water was running onto our main bath floor from the shower curb.  After an initial attempt to fix the problem by the original installer, we decide to find a more qualified installer.  Jan Sommer was referred to us by Absolute Granite & Design in Acton.  He reviewed the situation, came up with a game plan, removed the problematic curb piece and the underlayment, installed new underlayment, waterproofing and a newly fabricated curb piece, smoothed out the puddle areas of the showe floor and installed new tile.  After the glass company installed the existing panel and door, the curb was draining correctly into the shower area.  e are very happy with the results after having lived with a wet bathroom floor and then without a  shower  for an extended amount of time.
